Kowloon

We are staying at the YMCA in Kowloon. Much nicer than it might sound. Denise is in her luxurious surroundings on Hong Kong island. Today, Sunday, Denise and Nicole played in HK and Julie and I went to the "Ladies Market" in Kowloon. We are about to rendezvous for a tram ride up to The Peak on HK and have dinner.

The market was a great scene. It's a good place to buy good fake watches. There are cheap fakes for about $2, and really good fakes for around $30. Julie turned out to be a good bargainer and bought 2 watches for $50. I'm wearing the Patek Philippe and she the Cartier. The streets were jammed with people and almost all were Chinese. Lots of fun. For scaffolding here they use bamboo lashed together rather than steel sections. I've been looking for them on a tallish building and found one today (see above). The other picture is called Where's Waldo?

How was the view from The Peak?
It's 5 AM here on Sunday.
I am taking Paul to the airport. He is on his way to Baja today.
